Founded in 2019 by Susan Davis, Spa Rific® was created out of a desire to find better alternatives to traditional emery boards and metal nail files. Susan worked in the beauty industry for over 10 years and saw firsthand the damage these tools could do to nails. The coarse grit would rapidly wear down the nail, thinning it out over time and making it more prone to peeling and breakage. The unsealed edges of emery boards also harbored bacteria, often leading to nasty nail infections.
There had to be a better way! Susan discovered glass nail files and immediately fell in love. The gently abrading properties of glass created a smooth surface without damaging the nail. The glass could be thoroughly sanitized between uses, eliminating bacteria concerns. And they lasted so much longer than flimsy paper files! Susan knew this was the perfect solution.
After researching various glass nail file brands on the market, Susan realized there was an opportunity to create products with better quality at more affordable prices. Many files used low-grade glass that dulled quickly or cheap plastic cases that broke. Other brands charged ridiculous prices for simple files. Susan saw a chance to do it better.
In 2019 Spa Rific® was born. Our goal was simple: provide salon-quality glass nail files and foot files at prices everyone could afford. Our products are:

We launched with our signature glass nail file sets and quickly expanded into foot care tools, tweezers, clippers, and more. The response from our customers was tremendous. They loved having an affordable option for gentle, non-damaging nail care.

Susan Davis – Founder and CEO
Susan founded Spa Rific® in 2019 after a 10 year career doing manicures. She was fed up with nail tools that damaged nails and wanted to provide better options. The idea for luxurious, affordable glass nail files was born and Spa Rific® took off! Susan oversees product development and company growth. Customers love her down-to-earth, caring approach. When she’s not running Spa Rific®, you can find Susan playing with her dog, baking, or reading historical fiction.
Brian Thompson – COO
Brian keeps operations running smoothly and efficiently as our Chief Operations Officer. He implemented inventory, shipping, and fulfillment systems that allow Spa Rific® to scale while providing top-notch customer service. Brian has a background in corporate management and loves bringing order to the entrepreneurial environment of a small business. He unwinds from his high-energy job by fishing, coaching little league, and doing jigsaw puzzles with his daughter.
Julia Cooper – Marketing Director
Our sassy, creative Marketing Director Julia manages social media, email campaigns, and brand partnerships. She’s always dreaming up new ways to engage our audience and share nail care tips. Julia has a journalism degree and experience working for women’s magazines before joining the Spa Rific® team. Outside of work she loves Zumba, volunteering at animal shelters, and exploring Atlanta’s restaurant scene.
Customer Experience Team
Our stellar customer experience reps are the voice of Spa Rific®. They field customer inquiries 7 days a week via phone, email, and chat. The team troubleshoots orders, provides nail care advice, and spreads positivity to our customers every day. We’re so proud of the top-notch service they provide. Giving Back
Philanthropy is important to us. We partner with charitable organizations to give back and make a difference.
- We have an ongoing partnership with Clean Water Charity to provide clean drinking water to communities in need. A portion of each order helps fund wells, filters, and sanitation systems.
- We regularly donate products and gift cards to women’s shelters and programs that help women get back on their feet.
- Our team volunteers monthly at Caring Hands Animal Shelter to walk dogs, play with cats, and help keep the shelter tidy and welcoming.
